Heat pump air conditioning design and installation for a garden office.
The Client Brief
Our client had a new garden office built at their home as a place to work during the Covid pandemic. Rather than use an electric heater – which uses 1kW of electricity to provide 1kW of heat – the client asked us about energy-efficient heat pumps that can provide both heating in winter and cooling in summer.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a Daikin wall mounted Emura fan coil unit with mains power taken from a local 13A plug top. This unit comes with a WiFi interface for remote on/off control, an air-purifying filter and very efficient running costs (A++ rated with a 7.19 SEER).
The Results
We completed the project to the client’s satisfaction and set up a maintenance contract to ensure the system continues to operate at optimum efficiency.
