Work Undertaken: Supply and installation of heat recovery air conditioning at Guru Nanak School in Hayes, London

Heat recovery air conditioning at the Guru Nanak school in Hayes

The Client Brief

Our client needed air conditioning for various rooms within Block E of the school.

Our Solution

We installed a total of nine Mitsubishi PQRY-YHM heat recovery VRF systems, using seventy-five ducted, cassette, wall, and floor mounted and coil units across each space. We also installed four additional systems to serve the four heat pump boilers located in the plant room. The condensing units in the plant room are water-cooled (rather than air-cooled) and served by water circulating through pipework buried in 50 boreholes.

The Results

We were able to provide the Guru Nanak school with a truly energy-efficient solution by using systems that utilise consistent ground temperature to maintain a consistent condenser water temperature. We were also able to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the building by mounting the condensing units internally and, therefore, out of sight.

Oxford Refrigeration carried out the installation of air conditioning to various rooms in Block E.
